God Calls Us to Become New
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.(JOHN 3:3. Jesus - The King)
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.(1 PETER 1:23. Peter - Follower of Jesus)
This is not:
Outward reform cannot change our inmost being!
Jesus the Messiah used the following parable in Matthew 9:17 to explain this:"Men do not put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved."
For us to be able to know God we must by changed from the inside. That is why the Bible calls this a NEW BIRTH. Our current life where we do things which God hates cannot contain the new life which God wants to give us through Jesus the Messiah.
God Calls Us to Fear Him
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.(Proverbs 9:10. Solomon - King of Israel)
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.(Matthew 10:28. Jesus - The King)
Only when you fear God you begin to become wise. Before then you may have a doctorate but you remain a fool.
God who wrote the Bible clearly says through His servant David in Psalm 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." Only a fool can look at the immensity of creation and deny that it was created by an all powerful Genius.
When you start to fear God you realize that there is an all powerful Being that always sees you. Everything you do is either according to His perfect will or not according to His will.
Why must we fear God?
Not doing the perfect will of God is called SIN!
